Accommodation Services

Bryant University is committed to providing accommodations for students with disabilities in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008. Students who believe they require accommodations for equal access to living and learning at Bryant University, and who meet specific diagnostic criteria, may apply. Bryant University strives to help all students feel valued and supported!

Students may consider the following reflective questions when seeking potential accommodations:

  2. Do you consistently run out of time or find yourself rushing during exams?
  3. Do you have difficulty sustaining focus when attending class, studying, or reading?
  4. Do you sometimes feel that you need to study much longer than your peers to comprehend course material?
  5. Do you have a current or chronic mental health or psychiatric condition that impacts your academic functioning and experience in the classroom?
  6. Do you have a short-term or chronic medical or physical condition that impacts classroom attendance and participation, living arrangements on campus, or mobility on the campus?
  7. Did you have a plan in high school or at another institution related to a medical or physical condition?

All students must submit documentation of their qualifying diagnosis from a qualified health provider or learning specialist, how the diagnosis impairs the ability to function, and that recommends accommodations to support the student’s ability to live and learn at Bryant University. Supporting documentation may include a letter from the qualified provider, neuropsychological evaluation results, or a recent IEP or 504 plan.
