Student Activities maintains and supports a diverse array of co-curricular programming, student organizations, community service initiatives, and leadership development opportunities.

Student Activities offers a variety of experiences for students throughout their time at Bryant. From highly active and engaging student organizations, to campus-wide events celebrating the Bryant community, to varying levels of service projects for students to be inspired and immersed in giving back.

Where the learning in the classroom is enhanced by leadership development and collaborated work within student organizations. Student organizations will provide students with endless opportunities to prepare for the real world, both personally and professionally.

Bryant offers 75+ highly active student organizations, including:

  • Partnering Organizations, who serve as recognized representatives of the undergraduate student body to the University administration and are advised by paid University staff dedicated to serving in this role. They serve the University at a system level and include organizations such as the Multicultural Student Union, Student Government, WJMF and more.
  • Student Programming Board: SPB is a student-run organization that plans many of the major student-centered events on campus. From the welcoming Big B Weekend to Spring Weekend, to the always anticipated Spring Concert, to the monthly Big Bingos, and many other major events, SPB hosts activities on and off campus, as well as day-time and late-night programs to peak the interests of any student.
  • Additional organizations focus on a wide range of areas and include:
    • Academic Organizations
    • Affinity/Identity/Religious Organizations
    • Arts/Performing Arts Organizations
    • Common Interest Organizations
    • Community or Political Engagement Organizations
    • Professional Development Organizations
    • Recreation Organizations

You can find a full list of student organizations and other student life activities at engaged.bryant.edu.

  • Family and Friends Weekend: Early November, New England Fall, reunite with your student and see a snapshot in a weekend at Bryant. From athletic competitions, to a local vendor fair, a student entrepreneur showcase, to late night activities like sip and paint and bingo. Make memories to last all school year.
  • Senior Week: In the week between the end of exams and commencement, senior students will have the chance to celebrate their past four years. With activities on and off campus, students will get to wrap up their Bryant experience with friends, staff, and faculty. Past activities have included a senior ball, go-karting and games, a food truck festival, and live music!

Community engagement opportunities provide students with a chance to engage with the community through volunteerism, dialogue, and external leadership opportunities. Community experiences are woven throughout Student Activities offerings, and Student Activities supports recognized student organizations that are focused on community engagement, such as Colleges Against Cancer, Special Olympics, and more.

Students are provided opportunities for service both locally and nationally through an annual service trip over Spring Break and a weekly knitting and crocheting group on campus to create items for cancer patients. There are various service experiences offered in the surrounding Smithfield community, and students are encouraged to perform service on campus through their organization’s events. To give back, each student organization must participate in a campus clean up at one person throughout the school year.
