Student Organizations
Where the learning in the classroom is enhanced by leadership development and collaborated work within student organizations. Student organizations will provide students with endless opportunities to prepare for the real world, both personally and professionally.
Bryant offers 75+ highly active student organizations, including:
- Partnering Organizations, who serve as recognized representatives of the undergraduate student body to the University administration and are advised by paid University staff dedicated to serving in this role. They serve the University at a system level and include organizations such as the Multicultural Student Union, Student Government, WJMF and more.
- Student Programming Board: SPB is a student-run organization that plans many of the major student-centered events on campus. From the welcoming Big B Weekend to Spring Weekend, to the always anticipated Spring Concert, to the monthly Big Bingos, and many other major events, SPB hosts activities on and off campus, as well as day-time and late-night programs to peak the interests of any student.
- Additional organizations focus on a wide range of areas and include:
- Academic Organizations
- Religious Organizations
- Arts/Performing Arts Organizations
- Common Interest Organizations
- Community or Political Engagement Organizations
- Professional Development Organizations
- Recreation Organizations
Fraternity & Sorority Life
The Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) community intentionally cultivates an environment where students develop as leaders, gaining hands-on experience guiding organizations that extend their impact beyond
the Bryant campus.
Through their involvement, students build lifelong friendships and gain access to a broad network of professional connections rooted in their Greek affiliations. Fraternity & Sorority Life also fosters a strong sense of belonging, helping students create a “home” within the campus community while empowering them to make meaningful contributions through service and philanthropic initiatives. Bryant University’s FSL community includes five social fraternities, four social sororities, and one co-educational business fraternity. These organizations are supported by governing councils, including the Panhellenic Council and the Interfraternity Council, and students are recognized for academic excellence through the Greek honor society, Order of Omega.
Fraternity & Sorority Life is grounded in three core values: service, philanthropy, and leadership. These principles come to life through many hours of community service, significant philanthropic fundraising efforts, and the wide range of leadership opportunities available within each organization.

Community Engagement
Community engagement opportunities provide students with a chance to engage with the community through volunteerism, dialogue, and external leadership opportunities. Community experiences are woven throughout Student Activities offerings, and Student Activities supports recognized student organizations that are focused on community engagement, such as Colleges Against Cancer, Special Olympics, and more.
Students are provided opportunities for service both locally and nationally through an annual service trip over Spring Break and a weekly knitting and crocheting group on campus to create items for cancer patients. There are various service experiences offered in the surrounding Smithfield community, and students are encouraged to perform service on campus through their organization’s events. To give back, each student organization must participate in a campus clean up at one person throughout the school year.
