Bryant Readiness Initiative for Development, Growth, and Excellence (BRIDGE)
The Bryant Summer BRIDGE Program is a pilot initiative designed to help incoming first-year students build the skills, confidence, and connections needed for a successful transition to college.
Through a combination of academic coursework, residential living, and community-building experiences, participants strengthen their academic readiness while becoming familiar with campus resources, support services, and life at Bryant University.
Program Overview
BRIDGE takes place during the summer before the start of the fall semester and includes:
- A three-credit academic course
- A residential on-campus experience
- Peer mentoring and community-building opportunities
- Connections with faculty, staff, and campus resources
- Educational and social activities designed to support a successful transition to college

- College writing
- Student success strategies
The course is designed to strengthen foundational academic skills while helping students develop effective study habits, self-advocacy skills, and confidence before the fall semester begins.

Students live on campus throughout the program and participate in activities that help them build relationships with peers and become familiar with the Bryant community.

Cost
There is no cost to participate in the BRIDGE program.
Housing, meals, activities, excursions, course materials, and the three academic credits earned through the program are provided at no charge to participants.

Eligibility and Participation
The BRIDGE program is available by invitation only.
Invited students may apply for participation in the program. Because space is limited, participation is not guaranteed. During the pilot year, the program will enroll a maximum of 25 students.
Students are identified through a collaborative process involving the Office of Admission and the Division of Student Affairs.
