At Bryant University, we’re committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus community. This site provides resources, policies, and reporting options to help prevent hazing and ensure every student can thrive.

Bryant University is committed to providing a campus environment grounded in dignity, respect, and the well-being of every individual. The University’s Hazing Policy prohibits hazing in all forms and outlines clear expectations for the conduct of students, student organizations, faculty, staff, and affiliated individuals.

This policy applies to all members of the Bryant community, as well as to organizations and third parties associated with the University. It reflects Bryant’s dedication to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive campus where all members can thrive.

Bryant University takes all reports of hazing seriously. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are encouraged to share any known or suspected hazing so we can take prompt action to protect our community. Reports may be made online, by phone, or in person. (Anonymous reports are accepted from most members of the community; however, some individuals may have reporting requirements that prevent anonymity.)

How to Report:

  • Online (preferred): Report a Hazing Incident
  • By phone:

In Person:

  • Bystander Intervention Training – Bryant University offers comprehensive, hazing-focused bystander training aimed at empowering community members to identify and intervene in incidents of hazing. This 2.5 hour workshop can be tailored to faculty, staff, and student organizations. To schedule your training, please reach out to Henry Ridge (hridge@bryant.edu) or Kelly Boutin (kboutin1@bryant.edu).

  • Alternative Group Cohesion Strategies – This interactive program helps student organizations replace risky or hazing-like “traditions” with positive, inclusive bonding practices that build trust and belonging. Through discussion and hands-on activities, participants learn how to strengthen group identity and connection without relying on harmful behaviors. To schedule your training, please reach out to Henry Ridge (hridge@bryant.edu) or Kelly Boutin (kboutin1@bryant.edu).

Bryant University is committed to openness and accountability in our efforts to prevent and address hazing. In accordance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act, the University will publish annual transparency reports summarizing reported hazing incidents, related investigations, and outcomes. The first report will be released in December 2025 and will be available on this page.
